Adobe Lightroom

Turn a good photo into a great photo.

Lightroom is for editing photos after you’ve taken them.

For anyone who hasn’t used it, Lightroom is a software that lets you apply custom filters, similar to your favorite social media apps, except with a lot more control.

If you shoot in RAW format in camera you’ll have even greater flexibility in post production. Lightroom from Adobe is my favorite photo editing tool due to its power and its ease of use. It has a ton of adjustment options and personally I find it easier to use and bit more intuitive than Photoshop.

It’s easy to learn the Lightroom basics, but mastering all the available tools takes time and effort. Adobe also offers cloud based backup storage for up to 1 TB of data for pretty cheap. I use their cloud storage as it’s nice knowing my photos are backed up in case I lose my computer or drop it in the ocean somewhere… oops.

Below you’ll see examples of images straight from my camera on the left hand side and the resulting final image which I’ve edited using Adobe Lightroom on the right.
