Casana Resort

Calling Casana “just a kite surfing resort” would be the equivalent of calling a Rolls Royce “just a car”.

Casana is in a league of its own. A property with a rare blend of design, performance, flow and functionality that satisfies all the senses. Located between crystalline dunes and tidal lagoons of northeast Brazil in the fishing village of Prea, here you will find the perfect balance of excitement and relaxation. As a guest at Casana you can choose between kite surfing, exploring the charming fishing village or simply relaxing as the wind ruffles the palms and the 5 star chef (he’s insane) and staff spoil you.

“Can I interest you for a Gentlemen’s Lunch?” - Lasse Walker

The food at Casana is the stuff of legend, but the wind isn’t too bad either. Here’s what Kiteworld Magazine has to say: “With strong winds almost everyday during the season, Preá is somewhere you can disconnect from it all - a quiet fishing village located just inside the entrance of the beautiful Jericoacoara National Park with pumping conditions. It is the most reliable kite spot in this 15 mile section of coast, there is mile after mile of empty beach with daily 25-knot cross / cross-onshore winds, with July to January being the best months.”

Field Notes.

Casana is one of the highest functioning resorts I’ve ever visited. From arrival to departure and everything in between not one detail was missed or out of place. The food here is the real game changer. Lasse Walker claims the best lunch of his life was here, and our entire group was blown away by the chef’s abilities and creativity with every meal. Be sure to ask which wine they recommend for the duck…

If you’re into downwinders, then Casana is for you. You can ride downwind for miles, cruising waves and hopping in and out of flat water tidal lagoons on your way. The wind is STRONG, so bring your smallest kites (and prepare to be sand-blasted setting up your gear). A staff member from Casana will follow you in a 4x4 with a cooler full of cold beers, or seltzer waters, for you to enjoy on the ride back. Learn More.
